The Day After My Birthday

Spent birthday working, rewarded self with a good read at the castle / priory green yesterday afternoon. It wasn't a unique idea.. there were others, definitely!

The clan came up to Lancaster last weekend; and on Saturday I did what any honest Lancastrian would do: take them round the places that were actually interesting, namely Preston and the Lakes. We had dinner at Sultan's and that was that.
NB: I haven't edited or cropped any of these pictures; perhaps later. Chapter due on Thursday!

Missy Higgins at Life Cafe's Late Room, Manchester, 30 May 2005. Opening act was Nerina Pallot. Both acts sounded superb live; the singing was potent, the lyrics raw, the sound system superb. Check out both artists if you haven't yet.
