Some photos taken from my trip home last summer. The 'family' thing that we did was a trip to PD - my dad had a workshop thing there and as usual that's when the family tags along. Only Zahid was absent, having had to stay back at Banting for some workshop thing of his own.

Just Stuff

There are two places I spend most of my waking hours at: my office, and my bedroom. More at the former, than the latter, I might add. After resurrecting my digital camera from near impending death (by the usage of some good duct tape), I took these in between trying to construct a legible web design for a project I am working on, on Sunday, and trying to figure out whether SAS has a simpler way to conduct t-tests for means of samples that are dependent on each other, on Monday.

Durham
|
|
I took my aunt and her family to Durham today. Durham holds an extra special place for me, because this was where I grew up in the 80's; and is the place I blame for my atrocious northern accent.
We visited Kepier Court, where my parents, myself, my sister and the two brothers lived (both boys were born in Durham) for a good four years. It was.. surreal.. to be travelling up Claypath, seeing the streets that was so familiar and yet no longer familiar; and relying on a 20 year old memory to help me figure out where things were. And on some level, 20 years didn't quite seem like 20 years; although things which seemed bigger in my mind are a lot more smaller in real life!
This is my third time in Durham over the past four years, but there are still two places there I have not yet visited: the walkway behind Kepier Court which leads to the River Wear; and Gilesgate, where I went to school all those years ago.

Old Trafford, Manchester

No matter how many times I go to Old Trafford, every time feels like the first time. This particular trip was my first time since term reopened this year, and I brought my aunt, uncle and cousins who are on holiday here in England.

I spent Eid in London this year; for no particular reason apart from wanting a change of scene. Lancaster always throws the best Eid parties, so I thought I'd travel down to see how London fared in the stakes.
None of these pictures were taken by me, by the way. The first lot came from Fina's camera, the second lot from Jiden's and the third lot from Lini's. Latest pictures (of which there are five) came from Saudara Hazman Hilmi's camera.
Also, part of the reason why I look half decent in these pictures is due to Lini taking over what used to be Zieha's job of making my tudung look respectable, even with limited options.
